National Gallery Singapore — neoclassical grandeur

Housed in the former Supreme Court and City Hall, it pairs imposing Greek columns, sweeping staircases, high ceilings and arched windows with beautifully diffused natural light. It is, simply, one of the most elegant indoor backdrops in Singapore.

The honest bit: Photography inside the actual exhibition galleries isn't allowed (artwork copyright), and only handheld equipment is permitted — no big light stands. You also shoot within fixed timeslots, so a tight, well-planned shot list matters. That planning is exactly what we do for you.

Permit & fee (2026): Wedding photoshoots are $381.50 per group of 5 people (incl. GST), booked at least 10 working days ahead. Personal timeslots are 7.30–9.30am daily (before the Gallery opens), plus 10.30am–12.30pm and 4–6pm on weekdays. The link bridges are only accessible in the pre-opening slot. Blackout dates apply (eve of public holidays, public holidays, and F1 weekend), and Gallery Insider members get 15% off. The outdoor areas around the building are free.

CHIJMES — gothic chapel and quiet courtyards

For couples who want romance with a bit of old-world drama, CHIJMES is hard to beat. A former Catholic convent in the heart of the city, its Gothic chapel — stained-glass windows, high arched ceilings, white-washed facades — and leafy courtyard make for richly atmospheric frames, especially for formal gown styles.

Why couples love it: Heritage character with a European feel, all centrally located. The chapel exterior and courtyard arches are the signature shots.

The honest bit: It's a working F&B and events venue, so you shoot around its rhythm. The chapel hall and individual tenant areas aren't part of a general permit — those need separate permission. Props, stands, luggage and on-site outfit changes generally aren't allowed under the standard photo licence.

Permit & fee: Professional/wedding shoots in CHIJMES-managed areas require a licence; the fee has historically been around $107 (incl. GST), applied for in advance. As fees can change, we confirm the current

If your taste runs colourful and editorial rather than grand, the Peranakan shophouses of Joo Chiat and Katong are one of Singapore's most charming streetscapes. ArtScience Museum — the modern lotus icon

If you want bold, futuristic and unmistakably Singapore, the ArtScience Museum is the city's signature modern backdrop. Outside, its lotus-shaped silhouette and reflecting pools sit right on the Marina Bay waterfront; inside, the immersive Future World galleries wrap you in light and colour for sleek, cinematic, magazine-style images.

Why couples love it: Wow-factor and scale. The sculptural curves outside and the glowing, immersive light installations inside make for dramatic, modern frames — day or night.

The honest bit: The outdoor promenade around the museum is public and busy, so early morning is best for clean frames. For interior shots, the ArtScience Museum runs a dedicated wedding photography experience with its own rules and booking lead time — it's an exclusive add-on rather than a walk-in.

Permit & access: The waterfront and public areas around Marina Bay are free to shoot (no obstruction, no commercial set-ups). The ArtScience Museum Photography VIP Experience offers early, exclusive access to Future World plus a few additional interior spots; it runs Mondays–Thursdays (excluding public holidays), must be booked at least 30 days ahead, allows a maximum of 6 people, and you bring your own photographer (that's us). Flash, tripods and selfie sticks aren't allowed inside the galleries. We'll advise which option fits your shot list.

Jewel Changi Airport — the Rain Vortex and glass architecture

For couples who want a true showstopper, Jewel Changi Airport delivers something no other location can: the world's tallest indoor waterfall, the HSBC Rain Vortex, cascading through a sweeping glass-and-greenery dome. It's lush, futuristic and architectural all at once — and fully sheltered, so rain never ruins the plan.

Why couples love it: Pure spectacle. The Rain Vortex, the toroidal glass roof and the terraced Shiseido Forest Valley create frames that feel cinematic and one-of-a-kind.

The honest bit: Jewel is a busy public space, so timing and conduct matter. A few areas are off-limits for wedding photography — the Forest Valley East & West Trails, tenanted shops, and all ticketed attractions (including Canopy Park and Level 5).
